Charlotte is such a funny concert town. People complained when Maxwell didn’t come during the first leg of his tour, now he’s coming back for a second time in less than a year. Happens all the time. We don’t get big tours when they start, acts finally come, then they come back again soon after. So Maxwell is coming again, meanwhile the big tour this summer is Erykah Badu and she ain’t stopping nowhere near here. And the promoters here just peel off cheaper opening acts from other touring shows. How else do you explain us getting Trey Songz sans Jay-Z, or Melanie Fiona without Alicia Keys? This city is a hodge podge of people from all over the country so you can’t say there’s something wrong with the fans here. Charlotte needs new concert promoters, period. The ones here suck.
