Yo, Justin Bieber fans: Stop singing the pop star's hits while staring at yourself in the mirror -- or posting videos of yourself singing them on YouTube -- and make plans to be at Northlake Mall this Saturday afternoon.
That's when a competition takes place among teens ages 13-17, who'll sing versions of "Baby," "U Smile" or "Never Say Never" for a chance to fly to Los Angeles to attend the premiere of Bieber's new movie. ("Justin Bieber: Never Say Never" opens in theaters Feb. 21.)
Registration begins at 1 p.m. in the Grand Court on Northlake's lower level; the contest starts at 2. Contestants may pre-register by e-mailing their legal name and age to BieberCharlotte@gmail.com.
One of the contestants will wind up going to L.A. -- this isn't some regional qualifier where the winner moves on to another round. No, the Charlotte winner gets a trip for FOUR to the premiere on Feb. 9, including airfare and a two-night hotel stay. One national grand-prize winner also will win a brief meet-and-greet with Bieber at the premiere.

If I put a vice grip on my sack I sound just like him! Unfortunately I am pushing 50 years old. Hmmm, maybe some makeup. I'm there dude!
if you step on my nuts
He can sing????
this is what passes for singing now a days? sinatra is rolling over in his grave.
I can't sing like him, but I'd be happy to bitch slap him back to Alberta. When is someone gonna hold THAT contest?
Or. In a more positive vein -- check local kids younger than Bieber with more actual talent.
See? All better.
she looks like a lesbian wow!!!
He only sings like that when Bubba is nailing him in the keister!
what if i want to participate but i live in hawaii!!
Anyone can with enough autotune abuse
Yes, I can sing like Justin Bieber - and it's as awful as his singing. Another manufactured "star" boosting by synthetic music and special effects. In five years, you won't remember his name. Remember Peter Lemongello of the 70s - I rest my case.
One part would be easy . . the lyrics. Baby, baby, baby, oh baby baby baby oh baby baby baby baby oh baby baby . . . . . . . . .
Who would want to sing like him?!?!?!?
