A few recent concert announcements from Live Nation:
Sade ("Smooth Operator," "The Sweetest Taboo") will play Time Warner Cable Arena on Sunday, July 31, as part of the second leg of the English R&B band's first tour in 10 years. John Legend will open the show; in February, he won Grammy Awards for best R&B album ("Wake Up!"), best R&B song ("Shine") and best traditional R&B vocal performance (“Hang On In There”). Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Comedian Kevin Hart -- who has played goofballs in more than a dozen films, including last year's "Little Fockers" and "Death at a Funeral" -- will perform stand-up at Time Warner Cable Arena on Sunday, May 15. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.
The 2011 Vans Warped Tour will return to Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Charlotte on Thursday, July 28. This year's main stage acts will include such varied acts as Gym Class Heroes, Less Than Jake, Relient K, the Ready Set, and the Devil Wears Prada. For a full list of bands playing the Charlotte show, click here. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.
Tickets can be purchased from LiveNation.com, Ticketmaster, the venue box offices, or charge-by-phone at 800-745-3000.

OMG....Missed Prince....but will definitely be at this concert.....Sade will "bring it"...Hope she "belts" out the classics...."Keep Looking", Never As Good As The First Time", "Kiss Of Life".....Love it.........
Yeah, she's a rocker, alright. Very classy, never really cared for her style of music but she's cool. Great body.
We're the 23rd largest market in the country and this is what get??? Really?? Sade and Kevin Hart??? Really? When will there be an article about why most decent concert tours from mid-level up don't stop here?
Everyone had different tastes, just because you don't think Sade is a draw, doesn't mean other people do not.
Not all of us like Britney Spears, Rhianna and Lady Gaga
Sade's last album is fantastic. Peter Gabriel's studio did and excellent job making "Soldier of Love" Sade's best produced work.
Sade also looks great to be 52!
Concert promoters look at markets and vicinity to other markets and venues. Too bad for Charlotte, we have to compete with Greenboro's 24,000 seat (smaller seat for concerts but still larger than TWC Arena) venue and it's in the middle of NC.
Glad Sade is coming. Finally getting quality entertainment here. Note to the music editor: please do not do the review for the Sade concert. The review you did for the Prince concert was flat out wrong!

If you complain about the music acts that come through Charlotte then you obviously have never lived in some place like Richmond, VA or Columbus, OH. You want to talk about places that get bypassed by just about everyone. Charlotte has it good.
