Cirque du Soleil slashes prices on 'Totem'
Cirque du Soleil has been getting rave reviews for its latest production, which is nearing the end of a run at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Between now and Sunday, eight opportunities remain to see "Totem" ... and they'll be far more affordable than previous ones: Cirque is offering a 50 percent discount on most seats. Adult tickets now range from $27.50 to $45 using the promotional rate, while kids get in for $19.25 to $31.50.
Service fees still will add up to $13 per ticket, but this is a great deal and makes the show even more worth the money than it was before. Remember, Cirque du Soleil only visits Charlotte once every few years, and the Grand Chapiteau shows (like "Totem") -- I think -- are superior to the arena productions.

Great news. Sort of reminds me of the "other" circus where most money is made on concessions and all those overpriced plastic flashlights.
ReplyDeleteStill a tad pricey...
ReplyDeleteWhat is the code to get them at the discount, because they are still full price on the website.
ReplyDelete$39 in service fees for 4 tickets!! No way!!

____________
I just checked and @ 1:12pm, the seats are showing 50% off..without a promo code.
It figures. Those of us who plan in advance and have already paid and attended get the stick. At least, I got 25% off for getting the family four pack.
Next time, I'll wait until they give a bigger discount.
However, it was a great show.

______________
Did you follow the instructions and "click here" for the discount on this blog?
Just going to the main Totem website doesn't give you the discount.
That $13/ticket surcharge just really bugs me. To take my family of five $184.50. Would SERIOUSLY consider it at that price but to add $65 in service charges on top of it....No, we will still have to pass. :>(
ReplyDeleteSuch an amazing show. Well worth the price however the service fees are a bit ridiculous. Class A show.
ReplyDeleteJust like Ticketmaster... Since most people are willing to pay the fees, the fees keep going up.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone figured out the promo code?
ReplyDeleteThere is no code. Just click the link. The discount is already there.
ReplyDeletelooks like the promocode is cha50
ReplyDeleteThe promo code is whycantyoureadthearticleandseethelinktoclickonforthediscount
ReplyDeleteIt's a little long, but worth it.
Fees kill any entertainment for my family. There is no way the amount in fees is justified in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteLast time I did anything like this - they even charged a fee to print the ticket on my own printer. How stupid is that?
We'll just do without and catch it on video or the internet later...
What 2:41 said.
ReplyDeleteNext time, I'll remember the closing days discount...
4:50, quit being such a churl.
ReplyDeleteGet off the few extra bucks and take your family for an evening they'll long remember.
I find it funny that people complain about the service fees so that the people who print, sell and deliver the tickets can pay their operating costs. If the current regulations did not mandate that such fees be separated from the face value on the ticket, and the tickets were simply $X.XX more each with zero "service fee" charges, far fewer people would complain.
ReplyDeleteI bought three, great deal I think. Can't wait to see it
