Emily Maynard and the cast and crew of ABC's "The Bachelorette" will be filming at the N.C. Music Factory on Friday, according to a source at the uptown venue.
Maynard and her date reportedly will have dinner at the new Osso Restaurant & Lounge, following a 9 p.m. red-carpet arrival. After dinner (at approximately 10:30 p.m.), the couple will watch a concert by country-music band Gloriana on the Music Factory's outdoor stage, the source says.
The concert and the opportunity to catch wind of the show's taping is free and open to the public, although space will of course be limited.
Meanwhile, ABC on Monday announced the official premiere date for eighth edition of "The Bachelorette": Monday, May 14. The star, Maynard, is a 26-year-old single mom who lives in Charlotte; she was engaged to NASCAR driver Ricky Hendrick, who died in a plane crash in 2004.
Maynard won "The Bachelor" last year and became engaged to Brad Womack, but they broke off their relationship in June. She was named the new "Bachelorette" in January.
The show will film here in Charlotte -- where Maynard is raising her 6-year-old daughter Ricki, 6 -- as well as in other locations.
First the DNC comes to Charlotte and now The Bachelorette? I'm beginning to think the Mayans were right.
ReplyDeleteWell put Doug.

ReplyDeleteUmm... Maybe someone should tell those bachelors that if they took a shower then they might not all be having to enter a contest to chase after the same girl.
Any proof that these people have relationships lasting beyond the show? These so called marriages are about as fake as WWF Wrestling.
ReplyDeleteIsn't she the same one who recently said protecting her child from publicity and the privacy of her family were so important? Or was that some other cookie cutter princess?
ReplyDeleteSTEAM
ReplyDeleteIf this show doesn't work out, maybe the sleazy networks can create a new show for her to find herself a new fella.
ReplyDeleteI'm just curious.
ReplyDeleteKid is 6 Ricky died in 2004....
who da baby daddy?
she was probably just prego when Ricky was killed, so maybe she was not born until 2005 and maybe her birthday has not come this year. So my question to you, is "who is your educator?"
ReplyDeleteUmmm, call me nuts, but why not just introduce the Bachelorette and the Bachelor? It would solve the problem, and would save us from this garbage.
ReplyDeleteEmily has compromised her word and integrity. She's fallen prey to the idea of being a celebrity, not falling in Love. I say she got a big paycheck from ABC!
ReplyDeletePrev Anon,
ReplyDeleteI think you meant ... So my question to you, is "who is [yo] [educato]?"
Great. I have tickets to a concert at the Music Factory Friday night and I'll have to dodge this crap. Fame must be a really powerful thing.
ReplyDeleteEmily found out she was pregnant a few days after Ricky was killed in that plane crash.
ReplyDeleteWhat a classless "mother" - feel sorry for her daughter, great example, sell yourself. There is another name for this.
ReplyDelete... "(( yawn ))"
ReplyDeleteYa'll just mean people!
