Emily Maynard ... on 'Dancing With the Stars'?

In October, rumors were swirling around the Internet that Emily Maynard would be returning for a second shot at love on "The Bachelorette" (third, if you include her run on "The Bachelor" in 2011).

Well, there's fresh buzz about a possible return to ABC reality television for Charlotte's most famous single mom -- only this time, if the rumors are true, Maynard would be confronted with a different kind of smooth moves.

RadarOnline.com is reporting that Maynard, 26, has signed on for the upcoming 16th season of "Dancing With the Stars," and offers some interesting gossip regarding the news (that it attributes to the new issue of Star magazine).

According to the report, Maynard inked the "DWTS" deal with ABC when she agreed to be on "The Bachelorette." The report also quotes a source close to Maynard as saying all Emily seemingly cares about is extending her run of TV exposure.

"Emily told me the real reason she wants to do the show is to help get herself her own talk show,” dished the insider. "She's terrified of losing her fame. She loves being famous and has wanted it her entire life."

What do you think? If Maynard winds up on the show, would you tune in to check out her fancy footwork?

What happened to the "I need to be in Charlotte to see my daughter every night" comment prior to her second run on the Bachelorette? I'm pretty sure they will shoot the next season in California.

Go talk to this girl in public. She is shallow, and very rude. Her ambition is to capture the attention the Kardashians get. Fact is this, she dated NASCAR driver and intentionally got pregnant. His tradgic death played right into her hands. She is a WV girl doing anything to be famous.

Will this dingbat never go away? She has had her 15 minutes of fame, which ended badly.

I guess she isn't getting enough attention anymore, DWTS is usually the last resort for these types. GO AWAY EMILY.

It's her and Lilo neck and neck for the title of Skank of the Year. Trash, nothing but.

Fame is her game. She's an airhead.

Any chance she is a good dancer? I'm to the point where I believe any actual skill is secondary to perceived popularity. She's pretty, but does she have ANY true talent? Serious question.

I wish the Hendricks would cut her off! I guarantee you this "fame w***e" would go away once her main source of income is cut off. What's worse is that her daughter has to suffer through all of this.

Lets not kid ourselves...she needs to sign up with Penthouse and then we'll be able to judge her character with a truthful and clear mind.

I passed her by at South Park and was moved by her grace and beauty. Her sweetness is only surpassed by her elegant charm. You girls from RH should be so lucky!

Ouch. Why are these remarks so negative? I don't know Emily at all, but what's wrong with her being chosen to be famous? Is there proof she isn't a good person?

She will probably end up on channel 18 as another of their bimbos.

I don't understand how people can post comments like "gold-digger, trash, and airhead," when they don't even know her. The fact is, she's a sweet girl, doing what most anyone would do if they had the chance. I doubt there's a single person making these comments who would turn down a chance to be on TV and make money. There is a work for your ilk, and the word is hypocrite.

Okay Frank, fill us in on her. Tell us what she does on a daily basis to make the world a better place, how she earns a living, etc.

Sigh, I had hoped with the Bachelorette she would fade into obscurity like the rest of them...we could only be so lucky. I feel for her daughter - she doesn't have the best role model as a mom. Hopefully she'll learn more from her grandparents than her mother about grace and humility.

She will wonder one day why her kid grows up to be a dramatic fool, who thinks reality tv is her fate as well. Please send this woman away to another city/state. She has embarrassed Charlotte for long enough.

Wow, tough crowd. The good news about Emily Maynard being on television again is that anyone who doesn't like the idea doesn't have to watch her.

Seems like these "reality shows" are just the opposite..."unreal"...bizarre, comical, nuts, and I guess lots of folks enjoy zoning out - all I need is couple minutes of the commercials for them & know to set the satellite channel tuner for something else (or pull out a book), but that's my choice. As to the question in the article "would I tune in"...no.
