Concert news: Bizkit, Crowes, Maroon 5

Four notable concerts were announced over the weekend:

Metalheads Limp Bizkit will play Uptown Amphitheatre at the Music Factory in Charlotte on July 8. Hip-hop duo Method Man & Redman will open the show. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 15.

Rock band The Black Crowes will bring their Say Goodnight to the Bad Guys Tour to the Uptown Amphitheatre at the Music Factory on Saturday, Sept. 18. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, May 14.

Pop-rockers Maroon 5 will headline a concert at Davidson College's John Belk Arena on Aug. 24, with support from opening acts Kris Allen (winner of "American Idol" Season 8) and UK soul diva V V Brown. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. June 4.

Country artist Trent Tomlinson will play a FREE show Thursday night, May 13, at Whisky River in the EpiCentre uptown.
