Def Leppard returns to Charlotte

Hair metal returns to Charlotte's Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre on June 22 in the form of British band Def Leppard, famed for '80s hits like "Love Bites," "Pour Some Sugar on Me" and "Armageddon It."

Def Leppard's last visit to town was in August 2009, when it performed at Verizon with Poison and Cheap Trick. This time, Heart will open.

Tickets for the tour will go on sale on March 4 at LiveNation.com, the venue box office, Ticketmaster, or by phone at 800-745-3000.

Well, at least we know what Def Leppard album Theoden owns. Or did you just pull the first three songs listed in iTunes. Good Lord, son.

We will never pay to see them again, especially for what they charge per ticket. Joe Elliott's voice is shot, and the guitars are tuned down so low in the mix, Phil Collen's and Vivian Campbell's talents are totally wasted.

They're gay.

By the time those songs came out Def Leppard sold out to mainstream like so many other bands back in the day. Pyromania was their last good album.

I was at their last concert and there was plenty of jailbait waiting to service the band after the concert. These guys don't tour to hook up with middle age women. Sorry ladies.
