'Bachelorette' finds a home in Charlotte

According to Zillow Blog, ABC reality show "The Bachelorette" will be filming its forthcoming season in a six-bedroom, 8.5-bath European-style mansion in Charlotte. (Photo above courtesy of Zillow.com.)

Why are cast and crew coming here instead of staying in Agoura, Calif., where the show's premiere has always been set? Because Charlotte is the hometown of new Bachelorette Emily Maynard, who has a 6-year-old daughter and didn't want to uproot both of their lives for the filming.

The house features 12,000 square feet of living space, an outdoor kitchen and pool, and a ballroom perfect for the show's famous rose ceremonies. According to Zillow, the new home has been on the market since 2008 and is currently listed at $3.9 million. ABC has not confirmed that the house is being used for the show, Zillow reports, but the listing agent said one of his brokerage's properties was being used to film an ABC show.

Will she really meet Mr. Right with the filming of things in Charlotte. My guess is most to the dates and stuff will not be around here....c'mon how will she show these guys a good time in the QC. She does not seem to be that put together.

'Marvin' Road...such a prestigious address...lol

So the bachelorette is a single, knocked up milf living in a mansion? All the pretty girls in this city and she gets chosen? Classy.

c'mon guys, they could do a date in downtown Marvin. Wait a minute, there is no downtown Marvin...just a house for the city hall. How 'bout historic Waxhaw? You know, go antique shopping. Or, maybe the whitewater center. Oh, that's gone. I know, the NASCAR museum.

Got news for the owners...a house been on the market for 3+ years aint a 3.9 mil house...just a house owned by someone who with more pride and money the sense.

I find it hard she has a hard time getting a man. I would do things with her that would make a dog puke.....

LOL at "didn't want to uproot both of their lives." Maynard spends half her time out of town anyway, "partying" to try and find her sugar daddy. Please help me understand why any woman who considers herself a caring and devoted parent would undertake the time and effort necessary to be a "Bachelorette." Why? Because she's a publicity-seeking, gold-digging wanna-be. Hysterical--she even took Hendrick's last name for her and her daughter, even though people who know the Hendricks say they were never engaged, just dating. Pretty much guaranteed Grandpa's everlasting bounty on that one.

Hideous residence. But it would make a great location for the filming of Caligula II.

Mickey Gilley was right.

as I said before: will this whorefest never end?

I say keep the show on. I can tell everything I need to know about a woman based on hearing her talk about the show for 30 seconds. Saves me a lot of time.

I don't know anyone who lives on the west coast or in the northeast who watches this show. Its popular in places like Charlotte and Peoria. But who in their right mind would want to spend time with this person doing anything that didn't involve nudity.

I've said it before it makes since that Shallow Hal was filmed here.

"I find it hard she has a hard time getting a man. I would do things with her that would make a dog puke....."

A. Her standards are to high
B. media whore
C. Hopefully men understand points A and B and know better or decide she's only worth one thing. Would you really want to hang out with her. The men I know in the happiest relationships settled for less attractive women that they actually liked.
